MHP Photos has always invested heavily in good equipment. This page gives you a sample of what we have available to make your project go from an idea to a complete success.
We have our own studio which is equipped to support a variety of photography  and small video productions. We support both flash and flood lighting as well as a range of backdrops including chromakey for virtual scenes. 

Our prime camera include a Canon 5D digital SLR, Canon 20D digital SLR for backup, Canon EOS 35m film SLR with multiple professional lens and a Bronica medium format film camera.

For Video we have two Sony P170 DV cameras with UHF wireless microphones and portable lights.

We also have alternative equipment for back up to protect against unexpected breakages. 

We specialize in supporting multiple Video formats including quality conversion between PAL and NTSC standards

The post production work makes the final work. We have the latest state of the are computers and have invested heavily in software and computer equipment.

To capture images we have a Nikon CoolScan film scanner and Microtek flatbed scanner. For processing we use the Adobe Creative Suite 3 Master Collection. For additional support we have a large collection of royalty free footage, pictures and music as well as specialist software for format conversion and image processing. To output projects we have the Epson Pro 7600 media printer, DVD writers and Tape Systems. 

With this combination we have successfully produced a wide range of projects as well as supported our photographic and documentary film product lines.

 
Although a lot of work is done digitally, we still retain our darkroom which is used mainly for black and white, our specialty. 

This area also doubles as our print production facility where we can produce archival prints in color or black and white up to 48 inch by 24 inch. We produce on premier photo paper, fine art paper or canvas. The final prints can be mounted and shrink wrapped ready for retail display.

A lot of the equipment we use is portable so we can bring our equipment to the talent or cover inside and outside events.
Mike Herring Productions is a registered Limited Liability Company and fully insured. All our employees have identification and trained in the safe use of equipment. All our equipment is fully serviced and safety checked and all software is fully legal and supported.
